    Pedals for Acoustic?

Do any of you guys/gals puse and effects pedals while playing acoustic guitar? I recently added a pickup to mine and it got me thinking about the chain of command (so to speak).

    Just curious. Thanks!

A volume pedal would be cool, but I HATE chorus on acoustic guitar.

    Things to make them louder

I only use delay w/ acoustic, but a compressor might be a good pedal to have........

Compression could be quite useful, but I learned to gig without it.

I've had pro sound men squash the hell out of the guitar, and I've had to tell them not to. It only did a bit of good.

I've never "pused" anything that I can recall. How exactly does one "puse"? :rofl

You can use one of those Acoustic pedals that are designed to make your electric guitar sound like an acoustic. They add a bit of EQ and can actually enhance the sound of an acoustic guitar.

Ill throw my 2 cents in there for EQ and compression as well. As with all effects though, use with taste and moderation... unless it sounds cool..

well, i never really play thru big pa's, most of our shows are done with a small system where not only do i get to play, but i also get to mix, lucky me. and being that we only run a powered head and speakers (no outboard gear) using a compressor before i get to the pa is a good thing. if you're playing on decent systems with sound guys you probably won't need one.
