    50's p-bass parts source(s)??!?

I recently copped a '56 p-bass at the SF guitar show- a featherweight screamer!
BUT, it has a bunch of non-original parts on it, most especially the pickup & pickguard-

Does anyone have any suggestions as to who might be a good possible source for original 50's parts? I'd LOVE to get this beauty restored if possible-

well, there is always the bay. but call around to some local vintage dealers or some higher up repair guys. usually they might have some parts, or "know a guy", or can point you in the right direction.

would love to see a pic of that.

    That thing looks BEAUTIFUL.

The face of that (minus the bright and shiny pickguard) is character.
