    Jimi Page.
Jimi Hendrix was rumored to have played one on Purple Haze.

    Bill Kirchen
    Redd Volkaert

    gibs,

Page in the early days of Zep with his psychedelic Tele
Page in the late days of Zep and afterwards with his B-Bender Tele
    Keef
    Beck with the Yardbirds
    Andy Summers with the Police
Springsteen (go easy on me--I know not everybody likes him, but he played some fun, screaming solos on his converted Esquire back in the mid-70s)
George Harrison, during the last years of the Beatles
Pete Townshend (although I do think of him as more of a Les Paul and SG player)
    Albert Lee
    Steve Cropper

Terry Kath is my favorite. Not only was he a great player but he could write and sing. Great talent.

    Twang City

Brad Paisley, first and foremost...this guy got me to buy a Fender Tele !

Others...Jimmy Olander (Diamond Rio), Brent Mason (Nash. Studio Wiz !), Pete Anderson (Dwight's twang machine) and Bill Hullett (Nash. studio dude, great on Radney Foster's solo work).

Yeah, no rockers here...just twang city.

    Hey Bobby Lee,

I have got the Tele for you. Neal and Ron swear by Dunlavey Tele's. This guy makes them right there in Atlanta. As you know they both have all kinds of guitars and this is their main axe now.

    Syd Barrett

Yeah, I can't really either. It was when I couldn't get that sound out of my Strat copy that I knew I needed a Tele!

Many of my other favorites have already been mentioned, but I should add Peter Buck too.

I saw a 45 minute Prince show at Slim's in SF a few years back. The show started at about 3am (after his big arena show earlier in the night). He was playing a Tele surprisingly well!
