When I redid my Tele plate, I screwed it into a block of wood and went to town on it. I screwed it up doing something else stupid, but the holes were drilled and enlarged fine!

Hi, davy thats what I did. the problem was the bit I used was slightly too small, when I went to ream out the holes my mototool caught a burr and scarred the lower edge. You have to look to really see it, but things like that drive me crazy. I guess I,ll wait for the allpart one hopefully it will fit. Still if anyone knows where I can get a direct replacement please notify me. I tried the dudepit with no luck Thanks Guys Tony

These guys have a lot of stuff for the 51 PBass... they're out of stock on that part right now, but I'd call them and see when they expect more in....

Hi, thanks for the replies so far. I have one that I ordered from bass parts resource it did not fit and is mishaped. And the only reason I did not try warmoth, they say on their site that their parts are specific to their bodys. When I called fender they suggested allparts I have one ot the way if it do,es not fit I,ll try warmoth. Tony
