What do people think of th FR48 steel Resonator guitar?

I know it isn't a National.Can it get the Blues sound?Is it worth it?What do people think about it as a useful Blues guitar?

Is that the one with the arched top? If so, you can't put a Quarterman cone in as a replacement, which is the standard reso upgrade.

As a non-purist and dilettante, the two reso sounds on the Line 6 Variax 500 do okay and do not take up additional space or add additional maintenance...'suggest you give one a try if the musical metaphorical shoe fits.

You can if you crush it to fit like they did on the original.

Opening it up and seeing that produces one of those real "WHAT were they thinking?" moments. Stupidest thing I've ever seen, that arched top.
