Here's mine. An old timer that still handles business.

The only one I liked as soon I plugged in:
Old MXR Dynacomp.:yay
I've got an Ibanez CPX, I think it's called. It looks and sounds pretty much like my [now-broken] CP-10. It fattens the tone a bit, I think.

Keeley Compressor. Top pedal!!!
"Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained as stupidity"
keeley comp here too. always on, set light. and it works great with both my bass and guitars. couldn't be happier.

Teese FK-1. Quite Transparent. Tried it always on, set light (ala chuckocaster) and it sounded really good, but am now using it as a solo boost sustain with great results.
i use mine from time to time as a lead boost. but since i rarely solo (i'm a rhythm player), i just leave it on.

Got the Keeley Compressor and it's very good, but sometimes I still prefer my slightly older Maxon CP-101, which when pushed just does something quite special.
I've tried to avoid shamless promotion of Analog Man, but his compressors are the sland!!!

I just got a Janglebox...pretty groovy.
This is the bitterest pain to human beings: to know much and control nothing.
Same here. I've been using the Dynacomp since they were first issued. I don't use a compressor live any more, but when I need one when recording, the old MXR works just fine.Originally Posted by fezz parka

Mine's been crapping the bed lately. I'm gonna just go with a Dyna-Comp. Very simple, very easy.Originally Posted by Dale

Get the Keeley.

Boss CS-3 is what I use but it's kinda lame.
That thing looks way cool...too bad I'm not Donald Trump. I can't spend over $200 on a compressor pedal. Crap.Originally Posted by Falstaff

I had a Symetrix rack compressor that was really nice sounding, but a PITA to lug around, since I don't do rackmount guitar stuff. If somebody could figure out how to put a decent rackmount into a box, I bet it'd sell really well.

CS1 or CS2 I like 'em both for different things...
