Volume pot mod on a Strat...

What value/kind of component do I need to alleviate the high -end loss when the volume knob is backed off? Any help would be appreciated!

Go to www.kinman.com and check out his tone workshop then go to the perfect guitar section and scroll down to the VOLUME Control control: section.Chris calls it the treble by-pass filter.

This is exactly what you are looking for.

All my strats have this mod and I've put it into about 20 of my friends strats as well.

It doesn't affect the tone of your guitar, just keeps the presence as you roll off the volume

    You won't be disappointed

even better http://www.kinman.com/html/toneWorks...htm#volumePots will take you straight there

I also recommend you scroll down to the shielding section as well and do the copper shielding and your guitar will be fantastic, you can get the sheilding from dimarzio thru your local guitar shop.

    Good luck
