'69 Thinline RIs
Anyone with a Mexican '69 wanna tell me a little bit about their reliability? I fell in love with one at a nearby guitar shop and really appreciate the lightness, but I am a bit leery regarding the sturdiness. I dunno, I've never had a hollowbody and am just afraid it seems a bit...fragile for an electric.

TREEFACE ,A friend had a repair shop and seen many thinlines come in for all kinds of repairs and i never seen one with either a broken or cracked top/back.But for some reason people like to stick thier fingers in the f-holes and break of the little piont.Other than that it should hold up to the same treatment as a solid body within reason.I recently bought a modded 69 mahogany r.i. w/ usa custom neck, lawrence 280 p.u.'s 4 way switch and locking gotoh tuners. It's a great sounding lightweight tone monster.

They're sturdy enough and built to play. I had a spider crawl in the f-hole once though. The mahogany imparts a unique tone that sets it apart from my other Teles. I installed a SD SL humbucker in the neck and a Nocaster in the bridge with a five-way switch. Yum Yum.
