NGD - 50th Anniv. Strat in Aztec Gold
I had to wait almost two weeks from when I paid for it and when it arrived; I was traveling and could not take receipt of it until I returned.
I returned today. And here it is. 2004 Fender 50th Anniversary Stratocaster in Aztec Gold. MIM (my first off-shore Strat). Haven't had time to play it, yet. But I know y'all like pics. More to come...

Not often does one know the story behind a previously-owned instrument. This one was owned by Dave Erkin, 1964-1965 lead guitarist with Lewis Elliott, leader and bassist, in the one-hit wonder band, "J Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers." The hit song they recorded was, "Last Kiss."

I wanted the Squier 60th Anniversary version of that guitar. Saw one on CL but the guy wanted 400 for it. That's more than they were new, they're not rare.
how much does it weigh?

I like it. A very classy gigging guitar for weddings, events, private parties, etc.

I always loved the look of the gold Strats, Yours is no exception, good score for sure. I had a Cunetto diamond dealer Strat in gold and always thought it was a color Fender did quite well.
