New 52 AVRI. Putting it to work!

These things go in twos I guess, so this showed up around the same time the '56 CS Strat did(see other thread).

Brand new, bone stock 2016 AVRI 1952 Tele. It's been too long since I had a straight up Blackguard type Tele. I have a '73 Tele Deluxe and a '76 Tele Custom.

I've already had this guitar out for some fly in dates, and it's so great right out of the box. I've done nothing to it short of change the strings.
I'm going to resist my natural urge to tinker and try and leave it as is.

The new lacquer is pretty sticky and my fingers tend to skid some, so I might address that. Finish could be a little more transparent, but with the way this thing feels and sounds, I'm not complaining. Already starting to get a little beat up. Anyway, here are some not very exciting pictures.

Nice guitar! Most of my jamming, gigging and rehearsing is done with a blackguard style Tele.

these are really great guitars.

while I like custom shop guitars it's important, IMO, that Fender be able to make these AVRI guitars as well as they do. they are really the spirit of the originals, so to speak.
